Education

The EurAAP Working Group on Education is a platform for exchanging ideas and best practices in teaching Electromagnetics, Antennas, Propagation, and Microwaves at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. It fosters collaboration among European educators and aims to strengthen both the teaching community and the subjects they represent. Members share experiences, teaching resources, and discuss challenges, strategies, and new approaches.

The Main Mission
Purpose of the Working Group

The main goals of the EurAAP Working Group on Education are:

  1. Exchange and support: Provide a platform where educators can share teaching practices, resources, and classroom experiences, particularly supporting younger colleagues new to teaching these subjects.

  2. Development: Reflect on how Bachelor’s and Master’s teaching in Electromagnetics, Antennas, Propagation, and Microwaves should evolve and adapt to new topics and teaching technologies, while identifying essential skills and knowledge for future engineers and defining the role of our subjects within the curriculum.

  3. Attracting students: Develop strategies to maintain student interest in our fields in competition with currently trending topics and societal interest.

  4. Resource sharing: Create a low-barrier environment to share educational content such as slides, exam questions, lab instructions, videos, and project ideas.

  5. Community building: Encourage ongoing dialogue across European institutions about how to improve and sustain education in our fields, ensuring it remains relevant, modern, and engaging.
